What Is It?
“Collision Course” was our entry into the DCWF’s “Johnny Jenkins” film scramble. Teams were assigned a theme and given the task to include a character named Johnny Jenkins into the story who was to be neither seen nor heard, all while creating a fake trailer for a movie. The story revolves around two serial killers, one of which is a driver who kills hitchhikers, while the other is a hitchhiker who kills drivers, and the feds are on their case when they have reason to believe the two have crossed paths. This is an idea we have discussed making into a feature length film, instead we crammed it into a 2 minute trailer, and the results were phenomenal. They held voting at the screening and our entry swept all 3 categories (“Best Overall”, “Best Use of Johnny Jenkins”, and “Trailer We’d Most Like To See Made Into A Real Movie”)
